You want me a ghost YouTube? Well, here I am, I’m your f*ck7ng ghost here to haunt you!
YouTube’s got this thing called shadow banning. Well, take a look at this. My views. I’ve got, what, four views, one view, a few hundred subscribers, and then after November, it just tanked. I’ve been at this for a year, and it’s like, “Here, have a handful of views.” But look at the early videos, they were doing okay. I’d get a bunch of likes, a bunch of views, and now? They try to make me invisible.
I touched on topics very few others dared to touch. I even toned it down, but no change. Let’s search for my channel—oh, look, nothing! But search with slight variations and others with one or two subscribers? Oh, they show up just fine. It’s like Twitter all over again, hiding your stuff in plain sight.
They call it shadow banning because you’re still posting, still tweeting, but it’s like you’re an empty room talking to yourself. They don’t want your voice out there, don’t want you saying anything they don’t like. But why my content? It’s all about self-improvement, education, raising awareness—nothing that should justify it, right? Wrong.
Also the numbers they show you? They are not exactly reliable. They’ll say you had two views, then next thing you know, it’s back down to one. Can’t trust those stats either.
But hey, thanks for the article video I can create out of YouTube’s (Google) censorship. Apparently this needs to be called out. They’re gonna keep losing trust, reputation, you name it as long they act in this shady way. That’s if there’s any saving left and they haven’t already destroyed it by their imposed censorship of people left and right.
So if you’re going through the same thing, know you’re not alone. And to any company thinking of pulling this stunt? Think twice if you don’t want to end up a MySpace.
You don’t want people in your club (YouTube)? Then I’m going to make my own. And it’ll have blackjack and hookers.
